April Friges

April Friges approaches photography by first acknowledging its history. She thinks back to darkroom era and its limitations and then about this age of technology when images can be altered, transformed and, in turn, redefine tradition. Friges grew up in Cleveland and now is an assistant professor of photography at Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
