Brandon Boan

Brandon Boan is an artist and linotype operator in Pittsburgh who co-founded Tip Type, an art and community focused linotype and letterpress-print studio, in 2013 in Pittsburgh. He works with objects, space, sound, light, and technology and draws inspiration from music, architecture, poetry and computer science. For IFEP, he created this spun ink artwork, but has created clay sculptures, cut altered field recordings, done performances, and more in his career.
