Thomas Goertel

Thom Goertel is a Washington, D.C.-based photographer and multimedia producer who grew up in North Dakota. He is drawn by wanderlust to travel and explore light and shadows; to find the unexpected. His perspective-focused work invites viewers to step into the isolated moment in time captured in a photograph and experience the intimacy of an individual’s paused reality. He seeks out a déjà-vu feeling while shooting and bases the emotional pull of his snapshots in memory.
